Kimi no Tsuki no Hikari (Chapter 11 is up)

Since the one at SRM was blatantly disappeared, I don't want to let this go into the waste basket. Just take your sweet time reading it . This is a Melty Blood fanfic with my original characters on it.

Prologue

All of these are just happenings. For the past nine years with my friends fighting beside me, I have this question that keeps me puzzled: What am I fighting for? Friendship? Pride? Or for myself? After we separate our own ways, I think now is the time for me to find out what would that answer be...

A week ago, I packed my belonging for my trip to Japan. That'll be the place where I can work there so I can be at least a help to my family. It should be the word "We"...because my Dad took away the person I loved most and sent "her" to the military then he gave me a letter after they left. I opened the letter and it says that if I didn't go schooling, he'll take me to the military just like what he did to her......I talked to my auntie about it and what I did...I tore the letter in front of her, I said to myself that I will continue my studies then my auntie smiled and didn't call my dad on the phone. Few years later, I graduated my College degree thanks to my auntie and my cousins who supported me all the way. At the airport, they won't let me leave but this was my decision, I wanted to help them so that my cousins can graduate and have a job in the future. They all wished me good luck and health then I boarded to the airplane. I swore to myself that once I get there, I'll work and find a way making her leave the military. I don't give a damn care if he calls, I'll send her back to the Philippines and continue her studies. I won't let her become the dog of the military!


Chapter 1

I finally arrived at Japan, lacking sleep. As I went outside, the sun shines brightly, it seems summer has come. Instead of calling the taxi cab, I started walking so I can take a look at the buildings and the surroundings. "It would've been good if she's with me if it wasn't for that damn old man...I failed to help her...dammit..." I said to myself angrily, clenching my fists harder but now's not the time for complaining, I took out a small piece of paper saying the address to the hotel but I sat down at the bench, where the little kids are playing at the sand, others are at the swing together with their parents. I took out my guitar in the case and started playing while singing:

The parent and their children applauded at me and I started blushing. Suddenly, students walking their way to school are chatting, "Have you heard? Another murder has occurred again last night and they say it's a work of a vampire" and her classmate was surprised, "Vampires? Maybe almost every night they roam around the city, killing someone they see" almost everyone at the park can't stop talking about the bizzare murders that occur every night. I was pretty curious about that so I started gathering information about it and minutes later, I acquired enough information and continued walking. My shoulders are about to fall down due the very hot sun but I struggled over it, I nearly lost my vision and I accidentally dragged someone. "Wa-! I'm so sorry I didn't see where I was going. Sorry again!" then I looked to the person whom I dragged and I was shocked......a foreinger? "The way she dresses, she came a pretty long way here..." I wondered and the woman looked at me, "You don't need to apologize. I knew that you're going to drag me..." she said and I was surprised on what she said. Is she trying to piss me off or what? I just ignored her and continued walking until my stomach growled. I wasn't able to eat much because of the food at the airport. I couldn't bear it.

I stumbled upon a small restaurant and the male workers greeted me "Irasshaimase!" in unison then I sat down in front of the counter, one of the cooks asked "What would you like to order?" then I just pointed out on what they have and he left, ordering the others to start cooking. I couldn't stop thinking on the foreigner, I was wondering where did she came from but I'm so hungry I couldn't think much of it...except how the hell she knew that I was going to drag her? In no time, the food was set in front of me and the man who served the food asked, "You came from the Philippines, right? I can tell by the way you dress". "Really? You're a fashion critic?" I asked then he nodded twice. "By the way, do you know where this place is?" I showed him the address written in the small paper and he replied "I think you shouldn't go to that place. You won't last long there" he showed a depression on his face but I think I should trust him. "Instead, I can find a place for you," then I was surprised "N-No thanks! I can do it on my own!" and the owner showed up "Just accept his offer, kid. He has a heart of gold so you'll do fine. Hey, kid. Since you're a new face here, why don't you work with us? We could use a little helping hand here" instead of a computer job, I ended up working in a restaurant I'm sure my auntie won't mind once I called them later despite that the cooks are Filipinos and the owner is nice. I accepted the owner's offer, "As for the food, no need to pay. It's our way of saying welcome to you." the young waiter introduced himself "I'm Lemuel Austriano, college graduate in Mass Communication and you?" and I stood up like a soldier "Kiara Arevallo, college graduate of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology!" then we both laughed and talked while I'm eating. Suddenly, customers arrived, I put down my stuffs and started working.

The sun sets and nighttime has arrived, the owner closes the door and everyone cleans the table and counter while I wash the dishes. Lemuel noticed a guitar near in my bag and he picked it up. "I didn't know you can play the guitar. Can you make a song for us? Or I'll give you time and play it tomorrow, how does it sound?" then I happily replied "Sure, no problem for me! I'll start composing one after this!" I damped my hands in the towel and Lemuel gave me a small note. "Here's the address to where you can stay, I called a rental apartment a while ago and I paid for it. I'm sure you'll like your new place. Here are the keys" I started blushing "I-I don't know how to thank you, Lemuel. I'm so ashamed..." he handed the keys to me and said "No need to thank me, Kiara. Just remember, if you need help, I'll be always here, OK?" I nodded and left the restaurant. Everyone waved goodbye as I left and started looking at the address but I stopped and looked around, I get the feeling that someone's watching over but the atmosphere's kind of blurry until it disappears. I felt uneasy so I quickly ran. An hour later, I came across a HUGE building but it looks like they're working on it. Then I thought "Now this is a huge mall!......Or a hotel? Whatever it is, that is one helluva building!" but when I looked at the sign, it's says "Shrine" in katakana......no bull? I sighed and sat down in the corner, took out my pencil, notebook and guitar then started writing the lyrics. The notebook I used right now looks wet yet full of somewhat unreadable lyrics (yes, my handwriting is very poor) that I wrote since High School days and my classmates loved it despite some are a bit expicit that the boys loved it. In less than 5 minutes, the lyrics are complete and I started playing the guitar and sang:

I wonder if most of the people in the restaurant can understand my song? I felt confident on my composition until someone clapped its hands slowly. Wait a minute......that's the one who I dragged earlier! It's seems she heard me singing so I moved back slowly "You heard me, huh? Well good for you. I still can't forget on what you said to me, punk!" I shouted......well what's worse is she brought out her gun behind and I gulped. "Your music composition isn't bad at all, I must say but I'm afraid this is your conclusion" she pointed the gun at me and I had nowhere to run. This is it...but it's too early! "You want a piece of me? I'LL GIVE IT TO YA!! Demon Left Leg: RESSHUUGEKI!!" I rushed to her and did a straight left kick but she evaded my attack then I gave her a fierce roundhouse kick to the right and she was knocked back. Unluckily, I kneeled and noticed my left leg was injured due to the fierce attack "Shi...! It hurts...if I only equipped my leg guards in my bag......" cursing myself as she gets close to me, pointing it.

Chapter 2

Seconds later, she still won't pull the trigger "What's wrong? Can't pull it or just chickening out? *clucks like a chicken*" I managed to pull off a prank on her but she pointed it right directly to my forehead then I closed my eyes and hope that she would fire the gun at me but she withdrew it. "Your physical skill is beyond limits so does your creativity in music but in communication, trash talking is your skill. I was able to predict your movements earlier morning and it was exactly as of now" I slowly stood up, leaning my back to the wall besides my bag and my composition stuffs. "Really? Damn, you're a psychic...or a mind-reader...impressive. You somehow blocked all of my attacks but it's still wasn't enough...I should train a bit more but my leg will recover any minute now" I sighed in exhaustion, putting away my things inside my bag and all I can do now is to take a rest.

The woman sat beside me and started talking "You're Kiara Arevallo, participated in the Makai Tournament 9 years ago but when you reached 18, the event ended and you continued studying until you graduated. Now you're here just to release your sister, Kiana from the military. The biggest secret is, you didn't tell to her that you're a vampire and you managed to control it. You should be lucky that you didn't search for a cure-" and I started to enrage myself in great anger, clenching both of my fists "If you ever mention about my sister or my secret, promise I'll bust your chops!!" then the woman didn't say anything. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get you angry..." then I cooled down and exhaled "Naw, it's alright and you already spilled the whole enchilada so no need to apologize, I sometimes need to get furious. Since you knew me, it's your turn to introduce yourself" I smiled and she looked away while talking to me "My name is Sion Eltnam Atlasia, an alchemist from the Atlas Academy"

......Hold it. Alchemist? Now that's a cool course I wanted to get instead of Information Technology but damn I graduated now so there's no second chance of going at it again. But I thought alchemy was illegal? Does it mean it really exist until now? Oh hell YEAH!! "Nice to meet ya, Sion. Just call me Kiara, Ara, whatever you can call me!" I grinned in front of her. She explained everything why she's here so I decided to help her out but as I look into her eyes, there is something that I can't quite describe inside of her.

"Tell me Kiara, why did you become a vampire?" Sion was curious about me but I should tell it whole. "......Oh-kay, No hope of keeping it a secret. Six years ago, during the semi-finals of the 364th Makai Tournament which helds once every 2 years, I accidentally "ate" something that caused me to turn into a vampire. Hm? What's with the look on yer face? Yeah, call me stupid at that time. I thought it was a candy but Kouen, one of my battle partners told me it was a "Force Pellet". That red pea-sized thing I ate made me turn into it and went berserk in the Arena, attacking not only my opponent but my partners as well. 2 days later, I ended up in the infirmary and I started blaming myself. I have committed a very big sin so I went out of the Arena and tried to struggle on my own on how to control this powerful being within me. Shiden and Arashi stopped me but I never gave up, I kept on training until-"

A jester-like person appears in front of us and that moron has my guitar and my notebook!! I looked in my back and it's gone! Both of us stood up and I yelled "You bastard! Give me back my guitar and notebook 'cause if you don't......on a count of three, I'll chase your clown-faced ass!!...One, I mean it!...Two, I'm almost there!!" before I count out the last number, the jester hops in excitement and ran away thus I carried my bag, followed the clown. Dammit, the hell he wants on my stuff!?

As we chased him down, the jester finally stopped and we cornered him...or was it? The place we're in now? Nothing more than the cemetary...I shivered in fear and the joker puts down the guitar and notebook in front of him. "Hey, hey, let's play! Can you pick up the deck of cards in the corpse for me?" I saw an opened coffin, a corpse holding a deck of cards in his hands. As I nervously tried approaching the corpse and getting the deck, Sion stopped me. "This could be a trap and he's trying to play minds with you. The moment you take the deck, the corpse will come into life. Think about it, Kiara" maybe she's right but what the hell, I grabbed the deck and then she's right...corpse came to life! "Ha ha! Fooled you! The dead wants to play Tag with you but all they want is the card that contains the Ace of Club! Here's how the game goes: If you keep it until to the end point, I'll give you back your stuffs but if one of these dead guys have it, both of you are officialy dead! Your end point is in the construction site just beside the park! Sounds interesting? An~d the game starts......now!" the jester raises his scepter, disappers and the undead started to run towards us!

I quickly opened the deck(that contains 54 cards including 2 Jokers) containing the Ace of Club, places it at the very end of the deck, turned on the opposite direction and shouted "RUN!!!", both of us ran until the first batch blocked us then I threw 5 cards behind them, looked but the key card wasn't there and they became furious as hell. We left the cemetary while the suckers are still after us about half a mile past through the downtown, I accidentally shuffled the deck thrice! "Oh crap! Why did I shuffled the deck?!" I threw another 5 cards to them and they're still after us just then, the road splits into two and I gave Sion half of the deck (22 for her, the other half for me), "We'll split up and head for the site! If you have the key card, just keep it!" she nodded and we both split up, so does the undead. The more they approach me, the more I threw the cards until one was left, as I looked the last card......ah sh*t, I have the Ace of Club and the undead kept on looking at the cards lying on the ground except the prisoner who knew I have the card. 10 minutes have passed and we reached the site then Sion threw the last three cards, I yelled out her name then I passed it to her and the undead are after the card she's holding and she threw it higher like a frisbee so I jumped really high, grabbed the card but they tackled me and took it away from my hand.

Sion tried to help me but she too was also cornered, I dragged and kicked them away as I have a card in my hand, not knowing what was in it and ran towards the bulldozer even though my left leg still hurts. We both slammed our hands on the ground and the prisoner looked at me, thinking it's over for the both of us as he looked at the card that contains the Ace of......Diamonds...hah! Screw that! He was shocked on his card and I asked him "Is this the card you're looking for?" I smiled, showed him the Ace of Club and all of them turned into dust, only leaving all of their clothes lying around and damn it stinks!

I fell and lie down in exhaustion, catching my breath then the jester appeared at the top of the bulldozer, "Not bad for first timers, but I saw what you did why you have the key card. Wanna know? Simple. While he's trying to pull it away from your hand, you slipped a card and placed it at the top under his palm and swapped it, thinking that he'll win. Cheap trick!" then Sion fired her gun at point blank and fell down. "You may think that's a cheap trick for you...but for me, it's 'cheap' strategy. Now, give me back my guitar and notebook!" and what the hell? He's still alive!?

He places it on the ground, along with a small gift wrapped that says "Happy Birthday"......wow, just freakin' wow. My birthday is still 8 months away! As I opened the gift, Sion noticed what was in it then kicked it higher away from my hand, the jester smiled and the gift explodes! "Awww....that was close! Too close!" my nerves against him are starting to build up slowly. "Don't think you've already won! Our game is just starting! Can you keep it up? Nyahahahahahahaha!!!" he laughs then vanishes into thin air. I picked up my things and put the guitar back in the case then Sion approached me "You must be tired for today. Tomorrow, let's meet again on the Shrine, if it's fine by you." I gave her a thumbs up on my left hand "Sure! Sounds good to me. You should do the same also. Gotta look for my new home...anyways, see ya tomorrow!" I left the construction site so as Sion. Damn, I felt very tired after that chase so I asked help from the neighborhood for directions.

Half-hour later, I found it at last. I used the key Lemuel gave me and the door opened. Inside, a single bed, a kitchen with huge refrigerator and a counter, bathroom and a spotless sink then a balcony near to the bed, the whole room is so clean. I dropped my stuffs, lay down in the bed exhausted but my mind kept going up and down due to jetlagging in the airplane earlier. I almost feel sick but a long rest should cure it. "Good......night......" as I shut my eyes, started snoring. Outside, the jester together with a cloaked man with two big swords look at the apartment that I am residing now.


Chapter 3

"So......she has 'the other piece' with her, the key to open the gates of purgatory but getting it won't be that easy. Why did 'he' gave me this objective along with this guy? This is ridiculous!" he tapped the small papers on the ground with his scepter, creating a huge red magic circle then a winged beast with various part of different animals and a bird with wings and a body of a lion appear while ascending at the circle. "This should disturb her! Hee hee hee! Can you wake her up, Chimera and Griffon? We'll make this a blast!" the two beasts shift into their human form and approached my place.

'Knock Knock!' as I heard outside, distruping my sleep. "[Keh, who could it be? Don't they know it's sleeping time......sheesh...]" then I opened the door and 2 guys wearing regular clothes are in front of me. "We're very sorry to disturb you at this night but can you help us push our car to the nearest gas station? We asked most of the neighborhood here but they refused. Please, can you help us? In return, we'll give you a small treat at the convenience store." the flat haired guy asked as he bows down.

Small treat, huh? Sounds pretty nice. "Sure, just go to your car and I'll be right there!" the boys expression turned happy "Thank you very much!" they bowed down and went to their car. I grabbed on whatever I should wear and I made a quick shower. I felt a dark aura in those guys but what the hell.

I finished changing up and I approached to their place. "Umm...is it alright for you to ignite the car? The keys are in the steering wheel, turn it on and we'll push it." I went in the front seat, looking for the keys and...huh? Where's the key? I quickly opened the door but it won't budge! I tried the others but no good! Damn, what's their plan!?

The boys behind the car snickered and jumped above the car, shifting into their animal forms. The chimera's claws pierced above until the inside, sticking into it. Then the griffon crushes the trunk and the back seats, making my escape impossible. "I knew it! They're planning to crush this car and......!" The chimera jumps in the front the facing the car, opening it's mouth releasing a huge ball of fire. "And do that thing!!!" I yelped. The griffon flies away and BOOM!

The car explodes and I was unable to escape. A huge explosion was seen above as someone at the lamp post standing, a short-blue haired woman wearing a weird black and white outfit is looking at the 2 creatures then jumps on the moonlit sky and threw long swords directly into their heads. The creatures turned into a black smoke and the paper turned black then she picked up one paper and examined it. "This paper...it's a Shikigami, these writings are used to command and summon a creature. Whoever writes anything here becomes real. Humans, creatures, vampires...even the living dead. This person who made this up, not bad..." the Shikigami turned into ash as it blows off from her hands.

The woman looked at the burned car and she saw me enveloped by a green barrier, protecting myself from burning except a few burns, cuts and scratches. "Ou...gi......Suigojin...!!!" the barrier dissipates and suddenly lost track of my area until I fell on the burning ground. She rushed in and quickly grabbed me away then an another explosion occurs again.

"This girl, she's no ordinary human. And the skill she performed...could it be?" then a bunch of sirens was heard far away. She jumped behind as the sirens close by "Looks like I'll have to keep an eye from you, Demon Arms user..." she vanishes above the sky, leaving my unconscious body. The firefighters, ambulance and police came by as they saw me lying. The medical team took initiative and sent me to the nearest hospital, while the firemen and police investigates on the incident for now.

Chapter 4

A blurry scene is around me as I stand in an unknown place. There, a tall person covered in blood with his 'balisong' holding on his left hand. He chuckles on the dead body in front of him and he looks back at me. "You're next, my lovely..." cackles while he slowly walk towards me. I suddenly stood in fear, he tries to stab me and...

"!!!" I woke up with my eyes widened, my heart pounds faster while catching my breath. My arms, legs and head are covered in bandages then looking on my right, someone is sleeping on the table. I tried to guess who was that guy......er, Lemuel? Nah, I know he wears a black wrist band on both of his wrists so it's easy to spot. Could it be Sion? Definetly not! I promised to her that we'll be meeting at the Shrine tonight.

......Tonight?! "...Holy crap! I forgot about that!! Ah, dammit! What am I supposed to tell her!?" I started to panic while the guy suddenly woke up "[What's wrong, Kiara...?]" then I looked at him/her.

"[How'd you know my name? Who're you!?]" saying madly and s/he shows up. "[Don't you know me? It's me, Nik-nik!]" pointing at himself. "[Nik-nik? You mean Nikson the long-haired Tourism Student!? H-How did you know that I got involved in an accident? And damn, you've changed.]" I asked. "[You should thank Lemuel. He's the one who showed up in your place 2 days ago. Here, I have this lunch that my niece prepared. It's Egg Rolls and rice.]" he gave his lunch to me. Looks tasty but..."[Is it alright for me to eat this all?]" I asked nervously.

"[It's fine, Kiara. I already ate before I left home, y'know. Go ahead it's yours.]" he showed a confident smile in my face and I opened his lunch. "[If you said so...]" slowly lifts up the fork, my hands are wobbly. "*sigh* [I'll do it, you'll end up forever. Here.]" he grabs the spoon and lifts it in front of my face. He suddenly blushes and looks down, "[Hey, don't think something stupid on me. Just open your mouth.]" He was a total screwball before but now he became a nice guy despite that he learned his lesson why he got cheated twice by her girlfriend.

"[So, what happened to you? I heard you survived in a car accident.]" ...car accident? Oh, yeah. Those two damn beasts trapped me inside and......I can't just tell it to him that I was attacked by some creatures or else he'll think that I made it all up or won't believe on a single word so I kept silent.

Hours later, I was done eating thanks to his help. He put 2 bottles of mineral water in the table in case I got thirsty then he looks on his wristwatch. "[Sorry, Kiara I can't stay here all day. I got some work to do back home but don't worry, I'll tell Lemuel to visit here so he'll bring some food to you.]" he grabs his lunch bag and gave me a rosary. "[If you're bored, just pray. It helps.]"

"[Thanks a lot, Nik-nik. I'll keep this.]" I laid down and he left. But that dream...what was it? "[And that man with a balisong...do I know him?]" I looked up on the ceiling maybe that will answer my question......or maybe not so I held the rosary on my hands tight.

"I guess that my first day here...wasn't a good welcome for me..." I snickered a bit. "I wonder how Sion is? First, I failed to fulfill her promise now I'm here all beaten up. I'm so......stupid..." tears fell into my eyes and felt guilty on what happened to me.

A/N: Balisong is a butterfly knife, similar to pocketknife but larger which is mostly used on some Philippine Action movies.


Chapter 5

I was finally able to get some good sleep as the hospital closes, leaving all the nurses and doctors on active if anything gets troublesome. Then, a middle-aged man wearing glasses and a suit similar to the doctors in the hospital I'm confined. The nurse in reception asked "Is there anything we can help you at this night, doctor?" and the mysterious man smiled, flipped his balisong then strikes the nurse.

At the Shrine, Sion is holding a newspaper on what happened for the last 2 days. "So that why she didn't show up...'car accident', they say. It could be either the work of Shinigami or worse......Tatari." she put aside the newspaper and laid back behind the wall then coiled back her Etherlight on her hand. "Don't worry, Kiara. I'm not mad..." she slowly pulled out her gun, aimed at the far right and pulled the trigger. Someone shows up.

A cloaked man with a long staff evaded the shot and shows up to Sion. "Hey c'mon, I'm just passing by! I ain't here to cause trouble on you." the cloaked man complains. "Perhaps, you're here because you think that Kiara is here?" she still points the gun at him and he suddenly stepped back. "Aww nuts, you knew? Oh well, since I'm here and 'that guy' is already there, let's have some fun." he held his staff tight and braces himself.

"(Don't tell me that someone is there to kill her!?)" suddenly, she holds her chest as she bears the pain "Not......now...it's too early!" she ignored the man and as she tries to run past him, he slams his staff to ground, piercing it and creating a huge cage.

"Not so fast, little lady. I ain't letting you through. Let's spend our 'quality time' for a while, shall we?" he unveils his hood to reveal himself, having a tattoo on above his eyebrows on the right and one below on the left, red short hair, waving to the front and an earring to his left ear.

"The name's Dynas, one of the elite guards of Hades! If you wanna go to the hospital and save your best bud, ya hafta get me first and break the spell! So, Ms. Alchemist, shell we begin while you're in your current condition? That'll make my job pretty easier and hassle-free!"

Sion stood up, ignoring the pain. "(I have to save her no matter what)!" she rushes to Dynas, planning to do an all-out assault. "Now this is what I'm talking about! Let's go!!"


Chapter 6

Dynas just stood while Sion rushes into him. Seems like he wanted to endure a couple of hits from her but she ran past into him behind and crouches. "What the hell was that all about!?" as he tries to look on her, he had a scar on his right cheek. "Oh-ho, I know what you're up to now, missy." his staff suddenly has a blade on it and swung it above, making the trap that Sion made rendered useless.

She couldn't believe that he just easily broke her trap then he walked behind her, pointing his spear behind. "Where should I start poking this? Ah, I know!" he points it in her back as Sion, still crouching, closed her eyes as she tries to calculate his movements then time it. Dynas stepped back a few times then aims his spear, he dashes then shouts "SHUNJINSOU!!" he quickly thrusts his spear, hitting her.

"Heh? You're kinda cute, but orders is orders." he chuckled. As he looks in front, she wasn't even there. Only her beret was stuck in his spear. "WH-WHAT!? Where the hell is she!?" he looks around but she was nowhere to be seen. Just then, Sion crouches again, aims her gun this time, in front of Dynas. "I'm sad to say that you're all talk, no walk. No wonder you're just showing off in front of me." he frowned on what she said. "So you think I'm all talk, smart ass? Very well, then. I'll show you." he swayed back, holding his spear.

Sion pulls the trigger, releasing a huge purple beam which Dynas thinks it'll be easy to penetrate it. "Kuuha Zeppuugeki!!" Dynas thrusts his spear, retracts it a bit then does a strong thrust splitting the huge beam in half. "!? Impossible, how did he...!" then her chest pain goes back again. "Well, well, well. It didn't go through and now you're exhausted. Shall I finish you off?" he smiles while pointing it to her.

Meanwhile in the hospital, the mad doctor killed most of the nurses and doctors, his clothes and knife are all covered in blood. "Where are you my sweet little angel? Daddy's here and all he wants a lil' loving~" he slowly walks and tries to enter in each room, looking for someone.


Chapter 7

A nurse barged in my room and locked it. She somehow got critically wounded and I tried to approach her. "Are you alright!?" I came close to her and she was on her final breath. "You must......get...out...of here...mad doctor......killing everyone...mass murder..." and her life was at her end. Mad doctor? I tried not to panic and started to act quickly. I opened the window and thinking this is the best method but despite I'm in the 3rd Floor, there might be a chance that I'll survive the fall.

Screams in each room were heard before I try to jump out. My heart throbs faster thinking that he'll enter this room. Suddenly, the doctor tried to open the door but it's locked. "No use doing this, munchkins..." he stepped and about kick the door open. Sh*t! I opened the windows wide and fell down then he kicked open the door and the doctor saw a dead nurse lying. "Not here......where are you my sugar?" he turned aroud and proceeded on the next room. I managed to grip myself before falling down. "[Dammit....that was close...but that voice, I know him but I can't remember his name! Wh-WHOAAA~!]" I lost grip and I suddenly fell down.

Luckily, I fell on the soil patches but got hit on the shoulder. I slowly stood up and ran like hell. "[I better tell Sion about this goddamn situation!]" then out of nowhere, "Peek-a-boo! I see you!" how the hell did came down here!? I screamed by surpriseand fell unbalance. I escape helplessly but he grabbed my hair behind and pointed his bloody knife on my neck. "You won't go anywhere, my friend...I came here to take you back home, all fresh!" he dragged me behind and I started to struggle, real hard. "No way in hell I'm going with you!!!" I saw a wooden broom, grabbed it and hit his left knee making him impossible to act.

He kneeled down and lost his grip on my hair. I hit the other knee again harder so that he won't go after me. He laid in pain, giving me the opportunity to escape from him and meet up with Sion so I successfully escaped. "[Dammit! I don't even know where she is but just to make sure, I'll go to the Shrine!]" I started running to the west, not knowing where the Shrine is. "You won't......get away from me, you bitch!" he moans in pain and an another cloaked person looks at the doctor.

"Oh man, what a mess you did, doc. Your mission was to get 'her'! Killing everyone was not in your objective, have you not forgotten!?" crossed its arms and turns around. "So what? I enjoy killing everyone! Why the hell do you care about me!?" he stood up a bit and grabs his knife.

"Tch. I won't screw up next time, let's get the hell outta here." the cloaked man faced on the wall and the doctor entered his shadow and he mumured "Dynas, I hope you won't screw your job also 'cause if you do I'll..."

While running, I accidentally bumped someone behind. As I fell down, she looked at me if I'm all right "Are you okay? It's dangerous for someone like you to go out at this night. Maybe you should go back to the hospital and take a rest?" the woman suggested. "Go back? Hey luckily I was the only survivor in that damn hospital! Some doctor went crazy and killed everyone! It's like......a mass murder..." I looked down in fright and the woman asked "Are you...going to the Shrine?"

I was surprised on what she said and didn't say a word. "My name's Ciel, I was the one who sent you to the hospital after the accident 2 days ago. If you're looking for you friend, I'll take you to the Shrine." she grabbed my hand, stood up and followed her to where the Shrine is. "(Wait for me, Sion! If anything happens to you, just hang on!)"

But Ciel...I couldn't remember where I met her...ughh...my head hurts...

Chapter 8

At the Shrine, Sion is all worn out after that last attack. She stood up slowly and managed pull a couple off bullets from her gun but Dynas spin his spear in front, slowing the bullets and made it useless. "This is way off my time, I'll end you as fast as I could!!" he dashed forward and shouted "Akisazame!!!" as Sion braced herself. He made quick thrusts unseen by the naked eye and she somehow wants to struggle the attack then he makes a strong thrust, pushing her back and breaked her guard.

He was pretty happy on what he did so he points the spear at her and asked "Any last words before we conclude our little show, Miss Alchemist?" she couldn't speak a word, instead, she just stared at him.

"Well then, no words to say. YOU'RE DEAD MEAT!!!!" he smiles and is about to deal the final blow. Sion just closed her eyes, thinking it's over for her but Dynas became surprised. Some hand got a grasp on his spear. And it's...

"It can't be!? YOU managed to survive the explosion!?" he shouted.

"Kiara!?"

It was me. I gripped his spear even harder and pulled it away from him then shoulder tackled him back. I threw his weapon away and helped Sion up. "Sorry to worry you, Sion." I looked down in shame. But she held my shoulder, a sign that there's is nothing for me to be ashamed of.

"Tch, this is stupid!!" he raised his hand and the spear floted and went back to him. He grips his weapon harder in anger "Now I know...hehehehehe......"

I braced myself, relying on my right arm and my legs to do the attacking.


Chapter 9

Dynas was the first one to rush and did a couple of thrusts but I managed to evade it until I didn't noticed he used the end of his spear and smacked me in the face then thrusts it, making a huge impact that pushes me back. Sion couldn't do anything but to sit there and watch us fight.

"You're asking for it!!!" I was forced threw the cast on my left arm and punched him with force then spinned back. "Demon Left Leg: Sazanka!!!" I peformed three spinning kicks and was staggered on the third kick, "Not done yet!! Shinryuugeki!!!" then did a straight punch and a powerful uppercut on him blowing him away and knocked down. "Guuaaahhh!!" Dynas became dizzy and became unbalanced.

"Now's my chance to kick your ass back!!!" as I tried to finish him off, some another guy in cloak appeared behind him and muttered "You're a total disappointment to me. Fall back for the meantime..."

"Tch, whatever you say..." he went to the unknown guy's shadow, retreating. "Not bad for a greenhorn Demon Arms user, but it that all you've got?" that ass, what a fella! "I guess playtime's over for now. I hope we might meet again, if ever..." he then vanished and we were all left behind.

I approached the worned-out Sion and carried her on the nearby bench. "I can explain everythin' so just get some rest for a while..."

I didn't noticed my left arm is all better. After that damn punch I did on the Dynas guy a while ago. That damn doctor still alive I'll just have to make sure I bury him the next I saw his ugly face again.


Chapter 10

We sat down in a nearby park and asked if I can tend Sion's wounds but she refused. "Do not worry about me...it's nothing special." then I looked around to see Ciel but she was nowhere...I even forgot to say 'Thank You' from her but that can wait once we see each other again. I removed the bandages from my head and Sion suddenly saw the wound on my head healed by itself. She tried touching it and I felt nothing.

"See? Told you it will heal by itself. Most of the wounds I have won't heal after all so I have to do it by myself. If you like, I can take you home so we can rest up and-"

"No, I'm alright." she interrupted.

"I would love to stay with you but I wish to be here outside. Thank you for the offer." she stood up and went somewhere, leaving me all behind. Then I suddenly heard a voice behind me, and it was Lemuel brought along something.

"Kiara!!" he waves his hand and he approached me then sat down in exhaustion. "[Thank God you're here! I heard what happened in the hospital so I tried looking around the place so...there we go!]" he laid back.

"[It seems that we can't go back in there, the media might look up fr survivors and interview you so let's go back to your place and rest up there.]" he helped me up and assisted me all the way back at the apartment.

Somewhere, the cloaked man punched both Dynas and the doctor in anger. He then choked Dynas and pushes him in the wall. "You fool. You couldn't even beat that mere alchemist...even the doctor was useless as well." he then releases him, coughing on the ground. "All I ordered you was just a simple mission yet you made took it much longer...if it wasn't for that girl showing up..." he turns around.

"I will give you both an another chance. If you did not complete it still, I may have to vanquish you from all eternity!!"

"Yes!" they both kneeled as Dynas clenched his fists.

"This time, I won't screw around!!!" he said to his thoughts.

ARGH! it's been so long... I have to read up on all this again so that I know what's going on.

Chapter 10 as just recently added, I have been writing this in a PM for 8 months and I have this archive hidden in my PM box.

Fan fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic.... too bad I know little to nothing about Melty blood >.>;... I read all the way from chapter one, to chapter Ten. ^_^

The pros: you dont seem too hung up on making sure the reader knows that YOU know everything there is to know about Mety blood by setting your charichters into situations where they must glorify such things.

The battle scenes are pretty mutch the perfect length. though I would like to see better details, you dont make every battle a "epic battle"

you move the story along quite nicely, keeping to a smaller and moe managable cast of charichters.

The cons: Some times when reading, the charichters actions didnt make sence to me... when our hero hopes inot the car while the two men go to push it, they stated that it was not going to start, yet asked her to turn the key... being a Mechanic, I know you have to turn the key to get it out of park, but other readers may find little things like this strange.

The wording some times wont make sence to me, though, I think I heard some where that English was not your first language?... if that is not true, I dont mean to sound rude, and I mistook you for some one els.

some times (more erly on mind you) the story felt like it jumped from one exstream scene, to another... its hard to exsplain. really

I change the scenes too fast so maybe I should focuse on one place but not that too long. Yes, my wordings doesn't make any sense to the story at all...

Chapter 11 is on the go!

Chapter 11

Back in the apartment, Lemuel sat down on the couch and catched his breath. "[Man, you must've gained weight I almost fell out of balance!]" my nerve wrecked and threw him a pillow. I suddenly chuckled a bit so as him then brought out his cellphone to send a message to someone.

"[Well, I hope he understands...]" he pressed the send button and hid it back to his pocket. I moved my left arm slowly, reaching out something in the bag. I zipped it open and pulled a mini first-aid kit.

"[I'll help you out. Just don't move, okay?]" he opened the kit then I stretched out my arms of front as he opens the bandage and carefully wrapped it all the way close to the elbow. Then he press it a bit so it doesn't come off.

"[So, you're hungry?]" he asked then I shaked my head a bit. "[C'mon don't be like that! You body won't get well if you don't eat anything. Oh, I know!]" he went to the kitchen and checked on the cupboards for ingredients. Much to his surprise, he had an idea so I didn't mind him and rested up.

I opened my wallet containing a picture of me and my twin sister, Kiana. And the reason why am I going to bail her out in my father's orders. Though right now seems impossible for me to do that.

"[Just hang in there, Kiana...I know you can do it...]" I gripped my wallet and closed my eyes in tears.


Sorry for the short composition, I just can't believe this year won't be the happiest year of my life...

So enough to kill...
